The BRC Bike Skills Program is designed to equip people with the right skills to be safe and considerate out on the road.

Empowering Kids: At a critical stage in their development, cycling education teaches kids fundamental bike handling skills. Starting in primary school, they learn how to navigate various terrains and traffic situations, gradually preparing them for more complex riding as they grow. This foundation fosters a lifelong love for cycling while ensuring they understand the importance of safety and responsibility on the road.

Supporting Adults: Many adults may feel intimidated by cycling, especially if they’ve never ridden a bike or haven’t been on one for years. Cycling education helps bridge this gap by providing tailored instruction that builds their confidence in handling real-world road conditions.

Boosting Competence and Confidence: For young people, a bicycle often represents their first taste of independence. This program plays a role in equipping them with the skills necessary to navigate their environment safely. By increasing their competence and confidence, they become more empowered to explore and engage in active transportation, ultimately shaping responsible future cyclists.
